It was a hard fought primary. Republicans had the fortune – or was it the misfortune? – of having two excellent candidates for governor. In a state dominated by Democrats it was likely that only one would advance to November. The people chose Steve Hilton as one of the top two candidates. He has therefore earned the full throated endorsement of the Marin GOP.
Other statewide candidates endorsed by the Marin GOP include Gloria Romero for Lt. Governor, Don Wagner for Secretary of State, Herb Morgan for Controller, Jennifer Hawks for Treasurer, Michael Gates for Attorney General and Sonja Shaw for Superintendent of Public Instruction.
For federal office, we fully endorse Robin Littau for Congress. She will face off against Jared Huffman in the CA-02 district with its new boundaries.
