Well that was awesome!

The new Marin GOP hosted its inaugural Lincoln•Reagan•Trump Dinner at Jacuzzi Family Vineyards on the evening of April 8, 2026. Tyrus, a regular guest on Gutfeld!, served as the featured speaker. The venue was amazing, the food was fantastic and the camaraderie was infectious. Several candidates for office were in attendance, including Chris Bish (the “t” is silent) for CA-03. She single-handedly got the goods on Adam Schiff that forms the basis for the US DOJ investigation of his mortgage fraud. Also in attendance was Mindy Petchnuk, or “MAGA Mindy,” running for mayor of Oakland. She fearlessly wears her MAGA cap as she campaigns in Oakland. Our own Mark McComas for Board of Equalization, Tief Gibbs for CA Senate and Eryn Cervantes for CA Assembly as well as Chris Carpiniello for Marin County Board of Supervisors were also in attendance.

We were joined by Republicans from across the Bay Area, including Sonoma County GOP Chair Debbie LeBoy; Johanna Lasaga of the Yuba County GOP, who also served as the event’s auctioneer; and Jeff Dickenson of the Napa County GOP.

Tyrus was gracious, humble, and an exceptionally engaging speaker. He also showed remarkable generosity by offering auction items that included attendance at a Gutfeld! taping followed by dinner with him. Three groups—totaling 20 attendees—took advantage of that opportunity.

Hat tip to Events Committee Chair Eryn Cervantes, Tief Gibbs, Carol Ekelund, Julian Monatlik and the numerous other volunteers that made this event a tremendous success!

Thanks to the efforts of Events Chair Eryn Cervantes and Tief Gibbs, our inaugural crab feed was a tremendous success. Julian Montalik did a great job tender bar and Walter Jensen managed the raffle table. A big “thank you” to Chair John Turnacliff for getting the best and most fresh crab available. Special thanks go to Carol Ekelund, Manny Natsios, and Chris Carpiniello for helping in the kitchen. (A newcomer also provided help, but their name escapes me.) We also had Faye Bourret of the Marin Republican Women Federated selling patriot shirts and ties.

We just have to do this again!

Conservatives from all over the Bay Area joined the Marin GOP for their annual Christmas Gala. We enjoyed the wonderful venue dinner at the Marin Country Club in Novato. Many prizes from bling to fine bottles of wine were awarded to lucky guests throughout the evening. Chair Turnacliff emceed the giveaways, assisted by the lovely Marti Micheli and Tief Gibbs. We then danced the night away to live music by Factor 11. It certainly left a positive impression on first timers to a Marin GOP event!

An overflow crowd of 55 enjoyed dinner with Steve Hilton as he outlined his vision to rescue California to become a Golden State once again.

Monday, October 13, 2025 – Stop Prop 50

A healthy crowd heard from Harry Haury on what can be done to stop the unconstitutional power grab known as Prop. 50. Attendees also learned how they can work to get our voter rolls cleaned up and how to narrowly focus legal challenges for success in federal courts.

A wonderful venue for a fall picnic and BBQ. Easy access, covered seating, fantastic food and great company with music. We were visited by three College Republicans from the Berkeley Chapter, which oddly enough is the largest in the country.

A few images of the event:

Sheriff Chad Bianco and his wife spent the entire day Friday, September 12, 2025, in Marin County. Om the morning, he was joined by inmates for a tour of San Quentin State Prison. (You read that right!) His afternoon started off with a press conference followed by a meet-n-greet on the rooftop of the Mariott AC in San Rafael attended by roughly 50 people. He and his wife capped off the day with an oversold dinner at Il David in San Rafael. (Thank you Tief, Eryn, Yvette and others for standing to allow late registrants a seat in the packed dining room.)

After dinner and an introduction by Marin GOP Chair John Turnacliff, Sheriff Bianco explained how he’d govern California and why he is the only Republican that can win the race. In addition to stating his specific policies to restore the California Dream for all candidates, he answered all questions that guests had for him. It is clear that he has a sound grasp of how the state is run and how to turn things around for all Californians regardless of their political affiliation or political philosophy. (I will report on his polices in an upcoming post.)

In short, this Marin GOP event was a resounding success.

If you want to learn more about Sheriff Bianco, or donate to his campaign, please visit his website at Bianco for Governor.

The Marin GOP had its inaugural Happy Hour to engage in political conversation with allies. La Toscana was a terrific venue and its staff was very accommodating with our horde. We’ll definitely do it again!

As you can see, a good time was had by all!

The Marin GOP booth at the Marin County Fair was a hit! Many thanks to Tina Menard, Renton Rolph, and Eryn Cervantes. Special thanks to John Turnacliff, Tom Blackstone, and Chris Carpiniello. They all contributed to making this 5-day event a memorable success. And thanks to the numerous others Republicans that volunteered to serve at the booth or visited. We look forward to next year’s display!

Chalk up another successful event for Marin GOP outreach. Our first pancake breakfast was a huge success. Great weather, good food and fantastic company! We also welcomed visits from members of the press reporting for the Marin IJ and CBS News San Francisco. We’ll have to do this again soon.

Toni Shroyer of Coldwell Banker helped seniors complete applications for property tax exemptions on Saturday, May 10th at Drake’s Landing in Greenbrae. Many thanks to Toni for her efforts!

Group photo of over 100 attendees at a fundraiser BBQ at McNears Beach in San Rafael, celebrating the 'First 100 Days' of Trump's second term, with people smiling and wearing patriotic attire.

Over 100 people joined us for a fundraiser BBQ at McNears Beach in San Rafael on May 3, 2025 to celebrate the First 100 Days of Trump’s second term! Marin County conservatives met new Marin GOP leadership as well as fellow conservatives from the East Bay.

We’ll continue having such events to grow the party, recruit strong candidates, and win elections!
