It is with great sadness that we must report the unexpected passing of Joseph Salama. Joe played a crucial role in assisting members of the Marin Election Integrity Committee. He helped us advance our case in federal district court when no other attorney would step up. He provided invaluable guidance as we pressed our case against the Marin County ROV and the California Secretary of State for failing to properly maintain our county voter rolls.
Joe was a loving father that doted over his two teenaged children. He often spoke of how much he loved his kids.
He also had a terrific sense of humor that was a great match with his sharp wit and good nature. It made him a great story teller. Of course, there’s a story behind the picture of him on the roof of the iconic Marin County Civic Center. He had some time explore and found a stair to a roof opening. he popped through, then took that time-delay photo of himself. A position at the top of the world suited him well!
He will be missed. RIP, Joe.
