Seeking Endorsements?

The CA GOP will issue its official endorsements at its 2026 Spring Convention. Because that event occurs so close to the June primary election, the Marin GOP will begin issuing endorsements earlier to strengthen the chances of Republican candidates advancing to the November ballot under the state’s “top two” primary system.

If you are running for office and wish to seek the endorsement of the Marin GOP, please email your request to Chair John Turnacliff at chair@maringop.org.

At our September 2025 regular meeting, Sonja Shaw received overwhelming support and was endorsed for the nonpartisan office of State Superintendent of Public Instruction. Local candidates for partisan state offices will be considered next at our October regular meeting.

Candidates for regional and statewide partisan offices, as well as those for local nonpartisan offices, will be considered at upcoming regular meetings. We expect to conclude our endorsement process by early spring 2026.

To all local candidates running for state or local office—thank you. Having a strong conservative candidate in every race is essential to ensuring that voters across Marin County have a real choice at the ballot box.
